Pa Salieu And BackRoad Gee Are Ready For War On Incendiary "My Family"

September 10, 2020

Pa Salieu and BackRoad Gee have both been on phenomenal streaks in 2020. The former blew the scene apart with anthems like "Betty" and "Bang Out" while the latter stunned with his grime-rap-drill fusion project Mukta Vs. Mukta. Ever since they joined forces on BRG's "Party Popper" remix in April, we'd hoped they'd reunite — and now our prayers have been answered with "My Family".

As ever, it refuses to sit in any one genre. The production from The Fanatix weaves together elements of Afroswing, grime, rap and drill into a rumbling wall of low-end thunder. The new track also comes with some crisp monochrome visuals from Femi Ladi that follow the two underground pioneers as they stride over the booming sonics with a furious energy that threatens to spill out into all-out chaos at any moment.
