Coventry Rhymer Pa Salieu Double Taps With Future Classics "Betty" And "Bang Out"

May 26, 2020

After catching our attention with breakout hit "Frontline" and then the massive "Year Of The Real" alongside Meekz, M1llionz and Teeway earlier this year, Pa Salieu is back with double drop "Betty" and "Bang Out".

Building on his unique merging of drill, rap and Afrobeats, Salieu gives us not one but two hits. Both tracks carry their own kind of club potential with instant-earworm hooks — "Betty" is a slow-burning, melody-heavy smoker, while "Bang Out" is built around densely-packed verses and chest-rattling drums. They're also both commendable for their inspired production choices, not least the samples of '80s musician David Sylvian.

When Pa Salieu inevitably takes his place as a staple on festivals, these two will be his most devastating weapons.

Updated on May 28: the official video for "Bang Out" has now landed.
