Unknown T Makes A Grand Return With 'Adolescence' Mixtape

July 30, 2021

Following the release of the highly-praised Rise Above Hate mixtape, Hackney rapper Unknown T continues to push rap into thrilling territories with his new project, Adolescence. Featuring previously released heaters such as "Driller Sh!t", the M Huncho-assisted "Wonderland", and "Goodums" (which he performed for a recent COLORS session), the 13-track offering leaves more than enough room for the rapper to show off his full and varied range.

Drenched in hard-hitting bars and the low rumble of his instantly-recognisable cadence, Adolescence sees Unknown T stay true to his drill roots in straight-talking tracks like "Trenches", alongside the legendary Potter Payper, and "WW2", where he neatly ties melodic elements into the production. Elsewhere, he dips into a contrasting style in the track "Sweet Lies", which opens with acoustic guitar strums before the jumpy percussion sets in and we are left stranded by his provocative lyrics about a love interest displayed with a smooth vocal ability.

With additional contributions coming from rap heavyweights Nafe Smallz, Digga D and M1llionz, Adolescence is a crystal clear indicator of Unknown T's growth thus far. He's not just a rapper with straight-talking bars, he's a well-rounded storyteller who speaks from the heart and makes light work of any type of production. Take it all in.
