Grime legend and Lord Of The Mics founder Jammer has just dropped a surprise new EP: Black Russian. The MC spontaneously gifted fans with the project after he was awarded a blue plaque for his consistent contributions to the UK scene.

Black Russian was created in close collaboration with South East London producer OneNineNine and, according to Jammer's Instagram, there's plenty more where this came from. Jammer's bars are of course the star of the show, but the EP is closed out with appearances from Shizz McNaughty and Cosmos on "Wizard Of Oz".

There may only be five tracks on the project, but Black Russian feels more thoughtful, introspective and experimental than usual. It's hardly surprising then that some are already describing this as one of his best works to date.
