Ghetts Calls On Stormzy For First 'Conflict Of Interest' Extract "Skengman"

January 15, 2021

Last year, Ghetts made himself a prominent fixture in everyone's year-end lists by knocking out some of the best singles of his career — think "Mozambique" with Jaykae and Moonchild Sanelly, "IC3" and Skepta, and pensive solo cut "Proud Family". So it's understandable then that news of upcoming new album, Conflict Of Interest, has whipped us all into a frenzy.

Given that varied recent output, literally anything is possible, but we do have the first single now. "Skengman", which features Stormzy, is a calm and measured rap joint with just a touch of jazz in the instrumental's creeping saxophone thanks to producers TenBillion Dreams and TJ. Both the track and the video are blanketed in an eerie darkness as if we've been caught in the eye of the storm, waiting for it all to kick off.

A release date for Conflict Of Interest has yet to be confirmed, but it's said to feature D Double E, Mist, Shaybo and more (some of whom appear in the video). Hit play below to watch Nathan James Tettey's dramatic new visuals.
