ENNY Takes It Back To Thamesmead In "Champagne Problems" Video

October 06, 2022

Since lending her mellow-toned bars on tracks like "Bernie Mac", "Culture" and "Forbidden Fruit" featuring Odeal, Nigerian artist Boj, and Mychelle respectively, ENNY arrives with her first solo release of the year: "Champagne Problems".

Producers Beat Butcha and Tala step up with a soft combination of trap-style drums softened by sweet guitars and a faint vocal sample. ENNY sounds right at home with the beat, blending her stream-of-consciousness flow with tender vocals that part into harmonies towards the end.

Breaking down the meaning behind the track, Enny says, "The problems I've had this year aren't last year's problems but they're problems nevertheless. I call them Champagne Problems because they are definitely the problems I would've rather had two years ago. With this track, it's nice to just get back to freestyling and rapping as an art."

For the visuals, directed by Jean-Sébastien Degni, we begin with a view of a Thamesmead mural before taking a mini tour around ENNY's ends where she lets us in on a community brimming with a wealth of characters. Tune in below.
