Aluna Calls On Conducta And The Kiwi Rekords Family For 'Renaissance' Remix Package

October 14, 2020

Following the release of her debut album Renaissance on Mad Decent, AlunaGeorge's Aluna Francis has called on Conducta's Kiwi Rekords to create a remix EP featuring garage flavours to take us back to the early 2000s.

"Sneak", "Warrior", "Body Pump" and "Envious" were all highlights on a well-received album celebrated for its beat choices, and these eclectic reinterpretations from Conducta, Salute, Sammy Virji and Sharda, respectively, should find just as much love from garage ravers. Tied up by elegant vocals by Aluna, it's easy to imagine these booming under the Ibiza sun. Prescribe Da Vibe's "Don't Hit My Lane" remix takes a darker turn, but is still enveloped in the high-octane tone of garage at its most energetic. The project is joyful, awash with feel-good vibes and bubbling rhythms to keep your feet moving.

Speaking on the EP, Kiwi boss Conducta said, "It was a great moment when Aluna and the Mad Decent team reached out to get Kiwi involved. For the label to be just over a year old and have this opportunity speaks to the new garage sound appealing worldwide. Having the Kiwi family show the breadth of our sound on this remix package was an honour and another milestone towards where the movement is heading."
