Yiigaa, the daughter of Ivorian musician Henri Gaobi, is currently gearing up for the release of her new EP Inner Dawn later this year. The project is expected to act as a personal reawakening for the artist, filled with feel-good pop melodies and upbeat electronics. Building on that theme is a remix of lead single "Closer" from the Prince of Garage himself, Conducta.

Rich in flavour, the remix reinvigorates the special moments of garage the UK enjoyed during the early late '90s/early 2000s. Though we're in late September, Conducta's "Closer" remix emanates a smooth summer vibe, thanks in particular to its groovy bass lines and Yiigaa's enchanting vocals. Neat guitar chords intertwine with electronic riffs to produce a cheerful track full of warmth and packed with the typical Conducta zest.

Speaking on the bop, Conducta commented: "As soon as I heard 'Closer', I could hear exactly how I wanted to flip it. I felt it needed R&B treatment/2-step vibe to illustrate how good the original vocal was as her voice is perfect for dance music!"
