YouTube's Ban On UK Drill Pushes The Scene's Music Videos On To Pornhub

July 03, 2018

The past few months have seen an institutional crackdown on UK drill, the sound having been questionably linked to rising violence in London. 1011 were given draconian bans and behaviour orders that essentially take them out of the music industry; and YouTube began taking down drill videos on mass, reportedly at the order of the government.

The notion of old people stamping out the younger generation's use of technology and social media should've gotten a bigger laugh than it did, because it didn't take long for those banned videos to crop up somewhere else: Pornhub. Now a bunch of Westwood sessions — including BSIDE, 1011 and Zone 2 — have made their way on to the site, as has a large portion of 1011's catalogue.

This isn't the first time the smut emporium has got involved with music. Back in 2014, Pornhub also launched its own record label and then, when The Life Of Pablo was only available on Tidal, some good-natured soul uploaded the whole thing to stream for free.

Bet you didn't think you'd be typing "Westwood" into Pornhub this year, did you?
