Blending their Latin heritage with the heavier sounds of UK drill and the fluid melodies of trap and R&B, South London trio VX Mob have formulated a unique sound that's helping them push the boundaries of their own creative expression. Produced by MG, their newest release "Choppa" sees them dip further into their R&B influences to showcase their experimental hybrid sound.

Armed with dizzying 808s and a skippy drum pattern, the trio each flow with supple, hypnotising melodies to draw you further into their world. At times their bars are poetic and ambiguous with lyrics like "keep going with the flow before you know it's overflowing/ into the unknown that's where we're going" spilling over the production.

Todd Duncan captures some grainy VHS footage of VX Mob in the grey mountains of Snowdon in Wales. The interlacing trippy effects of the visuals mirror the nature of the track, making the listening experience that bit more immersive. Dive into "Choppa" below.
