Vision Crew Paint A Picture Of The South London Experience On 'Seeing Is Believing'

September 16, 2020

Two years after the release of their Swimming In The Blue project and Lewisham collective Vision Crew are back another one: Seeing Is Believing, which fully harnesses their multifaceted nature and depicts the existential grind for success in amongst the unforgiving London roads.

"Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe" and "Gimme Dat" bear references to their historic relationship with grime, albeit with a slower BPM. "No Discussions" continues that theme, exploding onto the set with a bass-heavy mix of grimey clicks and drill-leaning 808 slides, decorated with slippery synth riffs. "Don't Follow Part 2" then serves to fade the the project towards a conclusion with a mellow, trap-influenced production fused with neat piano keys and celestial auto-tune.

Using a plethora of differing sounds, ranging from the dizzying trap notes of "Stage Show" to the gritty "Up All Knight", the five-strong team give us an absorbing look at the South London experience with Seeing Is Believing. Listen below.
