Virgil Hawkins Returns With Trap-Driven Solo Cut "Frostbite"

May 22, 2019

2018 saw Virgil Hawkins make his mark with tracks like "Demons", taken from his debut album Milly Rocking To The Wrong Things, and later his collaborative Planet Pod EP with producer CWBY. Now the French-born, South London-raised rapper is back with his first solo release of the year with the trappy "Frosbite", alongside a trippy set of visuals.

Virgil says of his latest offering: "'Frostbite' is a song about a girl but it's also just about forbidden love and me overcoming certain obstacles in order to get back to a good place; mentally, mostly. I'm a sensitive soul which means that whenever something affects me, it usually does so in quite a significant manner. DXVL's production was a perfect choice because it's epic in a way that feels almost nostalgic but definitely a new musical experience for most."
