Manchester Singer-Songwriter Victoria Jane Shines On 'Golden Hour' EP

July 12, 2021

Following on from recent gems "Could You Be Mine" and "Loverboy Freestyle", Manchester's Victoria Jane is back with her enchanting three-track EP, Golden Hour, her second after last year's In My Zone.

We open with the dancehall-inspired "Longtime", produced by Mac James, where the singer 's silky vocals echo the catchy hook as exotic island imagery floats through our minds. We then move to the soaring "Free", which also features the production chops of Mac James, as well as a soft-spoken verse from Manchester-based rapper K.I.M.E. Finally, the EP closes with the electric club sizzle of "Mystery Lady", this time produced by Concvptt, resolutely proving the Mancunian singer's ability to deliver over a broad spread of sounds and styles.

Although relatively new to the scene, Victoria Jane continues to make impressive moves with her talents. She's currently gearing up to make an appearance at London's Jazz Cafe later in July and she can also be heard flexing her radio talents on her regular 'Future Soul' show on Radio 1, which is due to start very soon. In the meantime, soak up the vibes in Golden Hour.
