Following swiftly on from Unknown T's Knucks "elegant drill" excursion, fellow #98s clique representative V9 ends a quiet spell with "No Hook".

As advertised, there's no sing-along chorus and no earworm melodies, no catchy lyrics meant for IG captions on the Glock-produced track. Instead, V9's only mission is to restore the feeling and remind us of what he brings to the game.

V9's last project, 2021's Murk With A Mouth, established him as one of drill's mainstays and biggest character. His aggression mixed with the playfulness of his antihero persona has proved a winning combo, and with "No Hook" it seems that the driller isn't deviating from his formula any time soon.

Directed by PUIGFILMS, the video finds V9 as ever donned in his Deadpool mask, hanging out the window of a cherry red Ferrari as he confronts the camera with his bars in hidden hills abroad.

The track comes as fans wait impatiently for his upcoming project, 08701, which was originally promised before the end of last year, but has yet to materialise.
