Newcomer Tiana Blake Shows Off Her Refined R&B Sound On "Monday"

April 01, 2020

Arriving after the successful release of her debut single "Cut Ties", which amassed over a million streams on Spotify, rising star Tiana Blake is back with her new single "Monday".

Once again, the South London vocalist has shown us her ability to tap into the nostalgic vibes of traditional R&B and thread it into a modern sound. Using her stunning melodies to drive home her relatable lyrics, "Monday" is proof she's cracked the formula for success.

Blake's deep love of R&B surges through every note, drawing influence from key figures like Brandy, Boyz II Men and 702. Based on what we've heard so far, it's clear she's taken the lessons learned from these masters (not to mention her tutelage at the Brit School) and put it all to good use in her pen game.

Speaking on the single, Tiana said: "I used to hate my 9-5, those 'Sunday night blues', and I needed to release those feelings. I wanted to share this song to encourage creatives and anyone who's fed up with the day-to-day, to keep pushing and grinding for their purpose."
