The Streets Call On IDLES To Share Some Bleak Observations On Life With "None Of Us Are Getting Out Of This Life Alive"

Few artists are quite as good at summarising an intangible atmosphere as Mike Skinner. The world in all its ugly glory has never been summarised quite so well as it is in the title of The Streets' latest single "None Of Us Are Getting Out Of This Life Alive".

Like the rest of the tape, "None Of Us Are Getting Out Of This Life Alive" also stirs in some frank observations from the perspective of a man with decades of experience in the music game, punctured with the sort of glib humour that Mike's so adept at.

Taken from the 'first ever Streets mixtape' of the same name, "None Of Us Are Getting Out Of This Life Alive" sees Mike link up with Bristol band IDLES for a track frothing at the mouth with distorted guitars and noisy, post-punk energy.

For the video, director Rollo Jackson channels all of that into a surreal, larger-than-life visual treatment with shots of Mike and IDLES' Joe Talbot speeding in a golf cart beneath the orange and purple skies.
