South London Singer Taylor Bleu Debuts With Stunning "Mad House"
South London star-in-the-making Taylor Bleu has shared his new single, "Mad House", a stunning debut years in the making.
He's been honing his talent for some time now, finding his first footing on stage as part of a youth gospel choir at Croydon's Fairfield Halls.
All of that time and hard-won experience can be heard here as he sings candidly about his background, men's mental health, and the stigma and scepticism that surrounds it. It's a tough listen, especially the inclusion of a heartbreaking 999 call, but it's sensitively balanced.
"'Mad House' had to be the first release because it's my foundations, it's where I come from. No matter how hard I try to write about other things, the majority of my life has been devoted to caring for and battling with someone who is unwell. 'Mad House' is representative of my resilience. I kept my mum's cries in at the end of the song because although it might not be palatable, it's been my theme tune for years, and I haven't ever been able to turn it off, this time I can."
