Problem Child Pair Sumgii And Dabbla Take Us Round North London In "Same" Visuals

September 02, 2020

Back in May, Problem Child producer Sumgii and rapper Dabbla, who also happen to run the Potent Funk imprint, released their new album Nobody, an 11-track collection of wide-ranging sounds that explored the full gamut of UK rap and hip-hop.

Now the pair are liberating visuals for the album's latest single, "Same", and it's a woozy, almost psychedelic cut that's simultaneously classic-sounding and futuristic. Throughout their years of work together, they've both become well known for injecting a dry and at times surreal humour into proceedings, something that shines instantly in the visuals from KRUPA.

Taking us on a tour around New Barnet, North London, Dabbla strides across Sumgii's woozy instrumental to deliver an almost stream of consciousness musing on life, hip-hop and, believe it or not, the cosmos. Zone out with it below.
