Strizzy Strauss Learns To 'Trust The Process' On Boom Bap-Focused Debut Album

August 05, 2020

Back in May we brought you news of the debut album from Leicester-hailing rapper Strizzy Strauss and the project, Trust The Process, has now landed.

As previously-released singles "Hieroglyfics" and "Gems" suggested, the album is packed with refined takes on classic boom bap hallmarks. Thanks to producers Rabbs, Dirty Sweet, Feenikz, Sik Sense and LRD, the album focuses around a sturdy back bone of punchy drum patterns, jazzy flourishes and twinkling piano melodies.

Moulding those stateside influences into something more homegrown, Strizzy is joined by fellow Leicester rappers Siddeeq Matthew, Astrixx, Ash Styles and SunSun, Nottingham's Vandal Savage, London-based Rabbs and Brixton's Logic who come together to put an unmistakably UK stamp on it.
