Stormzy Hints At New Album With "4PM In London"

October 02, 2017

If there's one thing Stormzy does best it's simplicity. While he deserves all the praise he's had for creating an album that combines hip-hop, grime and gospel music in a credible and exciting way, Stormzy has always excelled with little more than a beat and his own thoughts. It was, after all, the "Shut Up" freestyle that earned him such monumental levels of fame.

Now, in the wake of Gang Signs & Prayer (and the recent short film of the same name), Big Michael's done it again with a new freestyle with a crisp video shot by Kaylum Dennis; "4PM In London". As the title suggests, he's used Drake's "4PM In Calabasas" instrumental as he raps about being disrespected by his peers and how hard it can be to trust people in the industry ("these rappers big me up 'cause they don't need me at their throat").

Most importantly of all, however, is that he says at the end that he's been "working fucking hard" on an album that is "coming soon".

We'll hold you to that, Stormz.
