Stefflon Don Makes Her Big Return With "Move"

September 14, 2020

After an uncharacteristically quiet 2020, Stefflon Don is back on our airwaves with "Move" and it's exactly the kind of high-octane, dancehall-influenced song we've come to expect from her.

Filled with patois-heavy punchlines, "Move" underlines Steff's dominant presence in British music with a punchy, bass-heavy beat produced by Troy "Troyton" Hinds. Stefflon Don always pays homage to her roots, and "Move" perfectly fuses both her British and Jamaican heritage in bouncy fashion.

The Remi Laudat-directed video is both vibrant and rich in sex appeal and the themes of female empowerment are strong throughout, employing a predominately female cast (as well as a cameo appearance from Dutchavelli), while poking fun at the stereotypical role of women in society with shots of women twerking in a kitchen.

2020 may have been relatively quiet for Steff, but she's back with a bang. It was only a matter of time before a woman of her talent returned to the scene.
