Stefflon Don Adds A West African Flavour To Her Dancehall Sound On "Can't Let You Go"

Keeping us on our toes as always, Stefflon Don is back with something a little different for her new single, "Can't Let You Go".

A change from last month's "Move", "Can't Let You Go" is a little more easy-going — though just as vibrant — with a gentle instrumental from Ebenezer built around a sleek saxophone melody. Weaving together Yoruba and Patois, Steff creates an alluring track that's both cheerful and comforting, although it'll have you longing for a return to the summer.

"The overall vibe of the track is underpinned by a sultry Afrobeats sound," she explained in a press release. "I always love to fuse all of my cultural influences into my work, because I am very much inspired by different parts of the world."

The visuals come from Adriaan Louw who injects a glamorous essence into proceedings by way of boldly coloured set design and liberal use of the Nigerian national colours of green and white. And to top it all off, there's even a cameo from DJ and broadcaster Julie Adenuga.
