Steel Banglez Drafts Dozens Of UK A-Listers For 27-Track Album 'The Playlist'

May 19, 2023

A little over a year after his last single, super producer Steel Banglez returned last month with "Mera Na", a poignant tribute to his late friend, Sidhu Moose Wala whose vocals were included posthumously on the track.

Then, three weeks ago, he took to Instagram to announce the album, its title and its release date. He also included a note thanking all the artists involved and his fans for their patience, along with a brief tribute to Wala and Anjeet Virdi.

Banglez has always had a rep for his staggeringly impressive contact list and you'd have been hard-pressed to think of any UK artist that wouldn't answer the call. Still, even by his lofty standards, the list of all-stars he's brought in for appearances is pretty staggering.

For this 27-track opus, the Newham producer has gone all out, calling in favours left, right and centre, reconnecting with old friends and forging one or two new connections along the way to bring in nearly 40 artists to assist him.

Rounding out the extensive list of guest spots, familiar faces MoStack, MIST, Tion Wayne, and Yungen are joined by Giggs, Asco, Blade Brown, Chip, Squeeks, Aitch, Morrisson, Not3s, Blanco, Ms Banks, BackRoad Gee, Kwengface, Nines, Mastermind, Deno, King Promise, WSTRN, M24, Rimzee, NSG, S1mba, Midas The Jagaban, Ivorian Doll, Tamera, Mowgs, Burna Boy, Unknown T, Clean Bandit, Wes Nelson, D Double E, Jaykae, BERWYN, Maverick Sabre, Ghetts, Tamer Hassan, Tiggs Da Author, and Ash.
