Jamaican R&B Star Stalk Ashley Returns With "Open" And WSTRN-Assisted "Deserted"

May 13, 2020

Last September, Jamaican-born singer Stalk Ashley made her presence felt in a big way when Stormzy invited her to join him on a cover of Beyoncé's "Brown Skin Girl" for BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge and then quickly followed that up with the stunning "Young" in December.

Now she's back with two new singles, "Open" and "Deserted", the latter of which includes a guest spot from WSTRN. Releasing the two tracks in tandem, the golden-voiced singer reveals two sides to herself. "Deserted" balances a hint of pain in her lyrics with a bumping Caribbean rhythm, while "Open" is a more seductive number, imploring that special someone in her life to lower their figurative walls with the promise that there could be something beautiful between them.

Updated on September 23: the official video for "O.P.E.N" has now landed.
