Last Friday, Squintz released his new eight-track project, The Waiting Room, a dense and concise distillation of everything that defines him as an MC.

The Waiting Room enlists 3o as executive producer and their instinctive creative understanding is plain to hear. Working in a taut back-and-forth between MC and producer, Squintz finds each and every pocket 3o's production creates and uses them to maximum effect.

Speaking of their chemistry and direction with the project, Squintz explains: "We knew we wanted a grime project, but we twisted it… No rules except follow the vibe! We built every tune from scratch together with the aim of enjoying ourselves really… Nuen else to it".

Choosing to strike while the iron is hot, Squintz also dropped visuals for "Weakend", a cut lifted taken from his first project, Nuen Ain't Gang. The video is edited by the artist himself and you can check it out below.
