South London rapper Kaniva has just gifted us a new four-track EP entitled 1. Showcasing his lyrical and rhythmic capability, he skates over each instrumental with cutthroat, densely-packed rhymes that could very easily fly over your head.

Despite its title, 1 is actually Kaniva's third EP. His first two — 2016's Homeless and 2017's Home — documented the rapper's time spent living on the streets and the path he took to escape that. His widely-praised BL@CKBOX freestyle in 2018 launched a string of critically acclaimed singles, culminating in yet another release to add to his already impressive catalogue.
