Solo 45 Has Been Convicted On 21 Charges Of Rape

March 11, 2020

Disgraced MC Andy "Solo 45" Anokye, has today been convicted on 21 charges of rape at Bristol Crown Court.

As we reported early last year, the "Feed 'Em To The Lions" MC faced charges of 21 rapes, five counts of false imprisonment, two counts of assault by penetration and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm (ABH).

Anokye had claimed that his "rape games" were all consensual, however his victims described how they were beaten, threatened with weapons, held against their will and even waterboarded. He also claimed in his defence that he would not have done anything to jeopardise his music career and therefore must be innocent.

In his closing speech in court, Christopher Quinlan QC of the prosecution described as "a narcissist and a violent bully".

He went on to say: "Not one of the women from whom you have heard said that they consented to what he says is a game — the 'rape game'. They marked a boundary and he trashed it because he doesn't recognise boundaries, either for himself or others."

Judge William Hart will reconvene for sentencing at a later date. He also thanked jurors for watching some "extremely graphic" and "disturbing" evidence and ordered a psychiatric report to be carried out on Anokye.
