Slowthai And Skepta Stomp Through Slasher Film History In "Cancelled"

Slowthai And Skepta Stomp Through Slasher Film History In "Cancelled"

February 10, 2021

We have come to expect the unconventional when Skepta and Slowthai collaborate. Always raising the bar, the pair are true artists in their own right and neither are afraid to push the boundaries.

New drop "Cancelled" is no different, opening with an inventive recreation of the iconic Budweiser advert, but with a more relatable Patois twist. Joining in on the fun are some Slowthai's friends and collaborators, Krash, Kwes Darko and SAMO, trapping the listener before music video, directed by The Rest, takes a darker turn.

Adopting themes from famed horror films like The Silence Of The Lambs, American Pyscho, Nightmare On Elm Street, Candyman and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Skepta and Slowthai keep the viewer on edge to the very end.

February 12 is the date of Slowthai's eagerly anticipated second album, TYRON, which promises additional features from A$AP Rocky and James Blake.
