Slowthai And Skepta Capture Britain's Descent Into Madness In Cinematic "Inglorious" Video

May 16, 2019

Tomorrow, Slowthai will release his hotly anticipated debut album, Nothing Great About Britain, and he's just shared the final pre-release video for the grime-inflected "Inglorious" with Skepta. In it the pair go toe-to-toe with defiant bars packed with pop culture references and razor sharp wordplay.

As ever, Slowthai's flair for the cinematic comes to the fore with references in the video to A Clockwork Orange, Ace Ventura, Inglorious Basterds (of course) and a probably a few others we missed. Beginning with a somewhat sinister baptism, we then see Slowthai strapped to a chair and, like Alex in the above-mentioned Kubrick classic, forced to watch horrifying footage of Theresa May's weird dancing, Nigel Farage's grimacing mug and a dizzying onslaught of images showing Britain's descent into madness.
