SL And Kenny Beats Set A New Standard With Game-Changing 'Selhurst SE25' EP

July 06, 2020

Even though he's already got a good few years under his belt, SL is still widely credited for being such an early high achiever in the music game and with the release of his new Selhurst SE25 EP — which he created in collaboration with highly sought-after producer Kenny Beats — it doesn't look like that'll change anytime soon.

The new four-tracker gives us the chance to see the Croydon rapper at his best as he lends his conversational style to some flute-led, trap-meets-drill production. His laid-back but ever expressive flow is almost impossible to replicate, gliding flawlessly across the bass-driven instrumentals that form the backbone of the project.

Arriving alongside the EP, SL also dropped the music video for standout song "Little Bird" — the second track to get a video after "Bad Luck" in May — and, once again, he's delivered the kind of polished visuals that we've all become so accustomed to from him. The location spotting for SL's videos are unrivalled, but this time it's a completely different level, with pastural and cityscape shots mixed in with scenes of the rapper on an oil rig, because why not?

Selhurst SE25 has only increased SL's stock and this is just the start as he's destined to make even more waves internationally.
