Skatta Shares His Worldview With Politically-Charged 'Hardships' EP

July 23, 2020

Coventry MC Skatta has continued his quest to the top with the release of his new Hardships EP, his second project of the year following the success of his Fight Night Flows EP in February.

Skatta gets a bit deeper on this project, addressing issues such as the Black Lives Matter movement, knife crime, the criminal justice system and more. The seven-track project was created during lockdown and offers a snapshot of his outlook on the world at that moment in time.

The project features contributions from Clipson, LDizz, OneDa, Kriptik, Tarju Le'Sano, Lawless and Mac James, with production from OH91, J-Fresh, Trap Jesus, DJ KDubz, Juberlee and Swat Team Beats. As a whole, the project shows that not only is Skatta great performer, but also a brilliant lyricist deserving of more critical acclaim.

In addition, Skatta also released the visuals for the title track, directed by De La Haye TV. One of his most political offerings to date, we see Skatta and his people making their voices heard at a march and throwing their weight behind the Black Lives Matter movement.
