Sir Hiss Injects Global Influences Into The UK Underground On 'Frequent Flyer' EP

July 17, 2019

Bristol bass wonder Sir Hiss is back with a fresh new EP. The Frequent Flyer EP features five new originals, all of which use the blueprint of grimey bass music, but blended in with influences from all across the world.

The new release is even more eclectic and far-reaching than we'd usually get from him, which really is saying something. What's really stunning is the connections he's able to find between the connections between grime and bass music and the Latin rhythms of "Samba De Orfeu", the Eastern pentatonics of "Saigon", and the Middle Eastern tones of "Camel Blues".

The result is a calming, grime-inspired collection of instrumentals graced with spontaneity and inspired compositions. While they might not all be obvious choices to drop in a club, there's still bags of MC potential for anyone wanting to attack an instrumental that's a little out of the ordinary.
