Sinéad Harnett Announces New Album 'Ready Is Always Too Late' With "Last Love" Video

February 25, 2021

After an incredible 2020 that saw her release some of the best music of her career (EARTHGANG collab "Take Me Away" and "Stickin'" with VanJess and Masego are particularly worth your time), Sinéad Harnett is back with new single "Last Love" as well as news that her next album, Ready Is Always Too Late, will be dropping May 21.

To celebrate, she's also dropped off the track's visuals. Directed by Ricky Alvarez, there's a touch of surrealism to this one with shots of singing mannequins mixed in with Harnett running and singing in reverse. It's an impressive feat and when taken with the song's big, uplifting hook, it's another promising sign of what's to come on the rest of the album.

Explaining more about the song's meaning, Harnett said: "There's such a thin line between the liberation of having no one to answer to when you're single and the memory of the last person you loved. When I'm single, I fill my days up as much as possible, but those little moments where you remember being held by someone you loved can creep up. 'Last Love' is a celebration of moving on."
