Sinéad Harnett Delivers Emotionally-Wrought "Hard 4 Me 2 Love You"

April 15, 2021

By now, London-hailing R&B sensation Sinéad Harnett has become a pro at making her listeners shed a tear or two and she does just that on her new track "Hard 4 Me 2 Love You", lifted from her forthcoming album, Ready Is Always Too Late.

The LA-based singer empties all her inner emotions into the heartbreaking ballad. A song on saving a relationship that is on its way out, each word delivered by the singer is cloaked with sorrow. Captured in beautiful isolation by director Rosie Matheson, we are immediately hit with the emotive touch of each piano chord of M-Phazes' stripped-back production and, of course, Harnett's own gut-wrenching lyrics.

Speaking on how the song came together, Sinéad said: "This was one of those songs I wasn't ready to finish for quite some time.

"I'd had an argument with someone in my family and the chorus just came out. But it was too painful to finish until years later when I played the chorus to M-Phazes. I think what I learned from the process was that love evolves and changes, but when it's unconditional you just keep going until it feels good again."

Ready Is Always Too Late arrives May 21.
