Newham Artist Shah Teams Up With Filmmaker Elisha Tawe For Dramatic "Mile End Riddim" Visuals

February 09, 2022

London-based artist Shah recently dropped off his three-track debut EP As Above So Below and now he's returned to drop off some experimental visuals for the track "Mile End Riddim", pieced together by budding filmmaker Elisha Tawe.

Backed by a production that plays with '80s disco elements—thumping bass licks, electronic drum patterns and spacey effects—Shah sheds light on his upbringing as a South Asian person in London. The visuals reflect the whirlwind of Shah's experiences, blending stylistic stills with glitchy footage of Shah passing through the dark city. Matching the club-ready production with his rhythmic flow, his passion for the art of rapping shines throughout.

"Mile End Riddim" is the perfect introduction to the sonics of Shah so get familiar below.
