For the past couple of years, Shaé Universe has been exploring the intersection between R&B and drill, perhaps best seen on "No Stallin" and "You Lose". It's a combination a few artists and producers have been dipping their toe into recently, but it's never sounded quite as silky and luxurious as Shaé's new single, "111".

On the drill side, it's all about those essential 808 slides and spartan drum patterns, but that's about as much crud as you'll find here. The real focus is on her soaring vocals as she takes stock of where she's at and extols the virtue of putting your faith in the universe's grand design.
