Digga D, Unknown T And Vybz Kartel Create The Perfect Storm On Sean D's "Gotcha"

November 05, 2020

Producer and engineer Sean D already has a stacked portfolio — having worked with the likes of Nafe Smallz, M Huncho, Dutchavelli, Tion Wayne and more — but today he's come through with a blockbuster track of his own.

Uniting UK and JA, "Gotcha" is a boundary-breaking collage of unique sounds. Sean D provides an eerie drill composition laced with chilling chords, painting the backdrop for each artist to lay their artistic cards on the table.

After hearing Vybz Kartel sampled on Ill Blu's "Dumpa", we've now got the bashment icon on a drill track of his own, setting pace with a snarling, patois-soaked call to arms as he strides over the dancehall-flecked instrumental with purpose. Digga D then enters the fray with an equally assertive display awash with cheeky double entendres and chest-thumping lyrics. That just leaves Unknown T who rounds it out with his signature baritone flow, slick with the kind of immediately recognisable bars we've come to love him for.

Shot between the UK and Jamaica, the Gwil Doe-directed visuals follow Sean and the three MCs in Godfather mode as they take care of business and show us what goes on in the underbelly of both cities.

Tune in and turn up below.
