South London MC Ricardo Gold returns with his new drop "Live In The Flesh" along with the promise of even more new music in the near future.

Produced by Blah Records affiliate Reklews, the song has a menacing backing with a big, head-nodding beat behind it. Ricardo himself matches the energy of the production from his opening lyric, "Big Billy bollocks until they see you in the flesh/I'll shave a man down to the bone 'til there's nothing left".

Speaking on the track, Ricardo shares: "At the time I was thinking about a previous friendship that turned sour over a telephone call, thinking to myself that everyone's a tough guy on the phone, you need to come see me live in the flesh. This friendship failing gave me the opportunity to analyse myself from a different point of view."

The track also comes with a fresh video directed by King Girl who tracks Ricardo through the streets with a faceless mannequin standing in for his toxic alter-ego and the bold temptations that take control. It's a theme we may hear more about from Gold as he prepares to drop his debut project later this year. While we wait on that, hit play on the new video below.
