Ray BLK's Toddla T-Produced "In My Bed" Reminds Us She's Still Got Bars

August 15, 2019

With the exception of an acoustic version of "Paradise" and a feature on Rudimental's "Scared Of Love" alongside Stefflon Don, Ray BLK's been a little quiet in 2019 — perfectly understandable given the dust has barely settled following the epic Empress album last year. Now she's back with her first solo outing of the year and she's drafted in Toddla T to handle production.

One of her most colourful, summery releases to date, new single "In My Bed" is as energetic as she gets. Over Toddla's foundation of silky smooth electronics and gentle rhythms, Ray weaves her melodious first verse and hook before switching things up to tell us we Must've forgot Ray Blizzy was a bad one.

Of course, we've always known how stunning her singing voice is, but this is a timely reminder of just how versatile Ray BLK really is.
