Psychs Gives His Take On The Pandemic On "Spreadin' (Coronavirus)"

March 18, 2020

Psychs has dropped "Spreadin' (Coronavirus)", a well-timed track about the current COVID-19 pandemic.

On this snappy drill track, the 18-year-old rapper gives us some commentary about these troubling times, spitting some precautionary bars over the Kaizbeats-produced instrumental, an eerie beat that layers a sample from Kanye West's "Wolves" over some crunching 808s.

Flexing an antibacterial mask and gloves, Psychs emphasises the seriousness of the situation: "Wash your hands / Don't touch me please / please don't hug me / please don't spud me," he says while bringing some light-hearted humour as he peppers in lyrics about his frustration with the suspension of the Premier League.

Appropriately, "Spreadin" has gone viral on Twitter, and while many are worried about the uncertainty, Psychs is using the power of music to at least put some joy into the atmosphere.

Be safe out there!
