Pozer Toasts A Flawless First Year With Debut EP 'Against All Odds'
South London's Pozer has shared his four-track debut EP, Against All Odds.
He only debuted in March last year with his first single, "Kitchen Stove", and since then, he's maintained a rapid-fire release schedule. He didn't skimp on the quality, either, making waves with hits like the Radiohead-sampling "Puppies", AJ Tracey collab "Heaterz", and "Aquatic".
RA, who handled production on the bulk of Pozer's bangers, takes the boards once again. It's a uniquely fruitful partnership that matches RA's flare for the unexpected with Pozer's crisp and precise flow.
It's a theme RA carries through the EP. On "Shanghigh Noon", which Pozer used to kick off 2025, RA blends Jersey Club, grime, and drill with the Eastern melodies of Gunna's "Who You Foolin". Elsewhere, he uses that cocktail to underpin woozy synth melodies on "Habits", atmospheric video game melodies on "Mood Swings", and a deep-cut sample of "Don't Lose Hope" by late-'90s outfit 3rd Storee on "Follow Your Dreams".
Alongside the new EP, he's also dropped off the video for the latter track that pulls back the curtain for a candid look at Pozer's story so far. A celebration of his formidable achievements over the past 12 months—not least his nomination for the BBC Sound of 2025, his TV debut on Later… with Jools Holland, and a performance at the MOBOs this week—it's also an intimate glimpse at the many, many hours he's put in at the studio.
Hit play on the new video below and then dig into the full EP at the bottom.
