Music journalist, writer, director, and TRENCH alum Aaron Bishop made his debut on the big screen this week with his first short film, Playing With Fire.

Starring Mohammaed Mansaray, Calum Carr, and Emily Olum, the new film, which Bishop also produced, tells the story of two friends, Calvin and Jay, struggling to get through the longest night of their lives as they try to work out what happened to their friend who's mysteriously disappeared.

The 15-minute adrenaline ride was officially released to the wider world on Friday via the director's own YouTube channel (and you can watch it below), but it's been gathering some major momentum at film festivals around the world. It's been screened at the UK Monthly Film Festival, the London Independent Film Festival, and the Montreal Independent Film Festival (where it was also a semi-finalist), and there are more festival appearances expected before the end of the year.
