South East London's Paul Stephan Puts The Scene On Notice With "I Live Dat"

August 27, 2020

We've barely made it to the end of August and already South East London rapper Paul Stephan has dropped six singles and an EP this year. Ever since his 2017 debut he's barely paused for breath with a relentless stream of singles that explore the common threads between rap and drill.

Last month we got bouncy and melodic rap cut "Keep It Real" and now he's back with something a little darker. "I Live Dat" is a pure drill affair with a video from Yomzmotionz that follows Stephan around his Thamesmead stomping ground as he puts the scene on notice.

Rising to the challenge laid out by Sensei and DT5 Beats' rumbling instrumental, Stephan ramps up his flow to a hurtling pace with a dizzying array of tongue-twisters. It doesn't matter whether it's rap, drill or something in between, Paul Stephan is here to take over.
