South London producer Bok Bok has released his first project under his new alias, One Bok.

Zodiac Beats Vol 1&2 is a double EP containing 10 tracks of futuristic synths, minor key motifs and robotic, rhythmic percussion. Sinking between the gaps of drill, rap and grime, the project explores themes of frustration, solitude and pain in an unconventional manner. That manifests itself in various ways, from the fusion of frantic beats and crunchy guitar melodies like on "Nine Saturn" to the subdued bass line and eccentric electronic melody of "Fifty".

The record has been released under One Bok's label AP Life, which launched earlier in the year with releases from Nammy Wams and Kid D. One Bok's skill for experimentation and attention to detail is often hard to come by as he imagines the possibilities of what grime, rap or drill could sound like in the future.
