Ojerime Makes Her Return As She Gets In-Depth And Vulnerable On "Empty"

After taking a break from music scene to work on bettering her mental health, singer-songwriter Ojerime is making her return as a storyteller with her new single "Empty". Delivering smooth and harmonic vocals over the memorising sound of trippy 808s with jazzy guitars, the singer opens up about her struggle with issues such as sexuality, depression and genderism.

"Empty" is set to appear on an upcoming project, which is slated for release later this year, and from this single alone you can expect a flood of emotions and vulnerability from the first track and throughout.

Speaking on the idea behind the track, Ojerime said: "'Empty' is a freestyle about being drained in every area of life, from friendships, career and love life. I offload all of this in a convoluted way because I'm going through so many emotions when writing this. The lyrics are relatable but the overall message is quite cryptic and personal to me."
