Notts Duo Young T And Bugsey Propel Their 2000s Rap Influences Into The Future With "Greenlight"

January 12, 2018

Much has been made of Nottingham's current wave of MCs, and the names Young T and Bugsey are always quick to arise in those conversations.

Though they sit at the forefront of UK hip-hop, their style is steeped in the history of both UK and US rap. That well-informed approach has been evident throughout, but it's never been clearer than on new Jevon-produced single "Greenlight".

Mixing the sounds of the early 2000s US beats that inspired them with their all-the-way 2018 flows, "Greenlight" is a classic in the making. While it's right to celebrate Young T and Bugsey's chemistry as a duo, we can't help but hope they work with Jevon again in the future.

Take a listen below and keep your eyes peeled for some visuals on the horizon.

Updated on January 15: The video has now been released.
