The Midlands and East London come together on nineteen97's newest video, "Alive". The Coventry-born, Birmingham-based artist drafts in Murkage Dave on the short but bold track to take turns speaking on the importance of those closest to you in moments of desperation.

Produced by close friend and collaborator OffKey, "Alive" blends R&B and garage sonics, inspired by early 2000s grime. With its dark, bumping sound and lyrics like "cuts on my hands, why? I don't remember/me life must have had a fair fight", "Alive" is an immersive listen—as gloomy as it is hopeful.

nineteen97's flexes his creative depth with the director's cut of the video, merging performance shots with a heartfelt storyline laced with yellow illustrations to represent a silver lining.
