Since the inaugural edition of Air Max Day back in 2014, 27 years after the launch of the first Air Max 1—the inspired creation of footwear genius Tinker Hatfield—March 26 has been set aside as a celebration of all things Nike, and JD Sports is marking the day with its own exclusive collection of Air Max kicks and apparel.

Each year, we get exclusive new kicks, real-world events, online content and more, and this year is no different.

This year's exclusive drops at Nike are the Nike Air Max Dn and the Air Max 1 '86. The latter was famously seen on LeBron James' feet in the pre-game tunnel ahead of the game between Los Angeles Lakers and the Washington Wizards. Meanwhile, searches for the Nike Air Max Dn surged by 35% on eBay over the weekend.

The Air Max 1 '86 calls back to the very foundations of the Air Max with a white and royal blue colour way and there's also a 'Volt' edition that features yellow details on the midsole and behind the tongue.

The Air Max Dn, on the other hand, is more futuristic with elements that echo the Air Max 720 and the Air Max Tn. It also features the debut of a new Nike Air unit called the 'Dynamic Air'.

JD Sports has its own Air Max Day collection, including a series of Air Max 95s only available via their online store. Included in the collection are grey, black, and white colourways, as well as the Air Max 95 Ultra and the Air Max 95 Junior.

They also have a host of exclusive apparel, including cargo track pants, performance shorts, full-zip hoodies, tees and more.
