New 'Hype Master' Documentary Gives An Insight Into The Life Of Stormin

November 14, 2019

After N.A.S.T.Y Crew legend Stormin's unfortunate passing last year, film creators and university students Noah Harris, Issac Reeder and Alex Brawley are keeping the legend's name alive and well with a new documentary. Entitled Hype Master, the new doc focuses on the life of the legendary MC and his time in seminal D&B crew SaSaSaS, which also included Shabba D and Macky Gee.

Filming for the documentary began back in 2018, but the emcee's life was unfortunately claimed by cancer during production. This ultimately turned what was originally supposed to be a 10-minute short, recording his battle with cancer, into a full-length 40-minute documentary showcasing the life and hustle of the revered mic-man.

The emotional film got screened last week as part of the Doc N' Roll documentary festival, with the premier being held in Bethnal Green where the legendary MC's family, friends and fellow artists showed their love and support.

The creators are hoping to release the film early next year. In advance of that, watch the trailer below.
