East London's Murkage Dave is known for his satirical observations of society and while he recognises the cards we're dealt can often seem unfair, he shares a few meaningful words in his latest track "Choose Your Own Adventure".

Produced by Star Slinger, we float through a tunnel of soaring synths complemented by the dancehall-inspired rhythm section that he's sweetened with a vocal sample that could easily have been snatched from the '80s. In his mellow tone, he reflects on a few relatable road bumps we run into through life but offers the solution of skipping to another page and starting fresh.

"It's been a weird year, man. I can't be the only one who's felt that, right? Mentally, I've been through some dark, dark times, but thankfully I'm beginning to see a path through. And what I'm trying to say with 'Choose Your Own Adventure' is, life isn't fair man, but we've always got hope, and the option to look at things from a different perspective. That's not a promise things will turn out perfect, but what we can do is decide which moves we want to make next, which direction we want to travel in—which, for me, makes life worth living".

Arriving just before he heads out for his UK tour, "Choose Your Own Adventure" marks a new chapter for the Leytonstone-raised artists following the 14-track album The City Needs A Hero.
